The Suspected Child Abuse Reporting(SCAR) System has been specifically created for
Mandated Reporters
to enable them to complete their written report online. If you have already made your
verbal report to the Los Angeles County Child Protection Hotline and obtained a
referral number, you can proceed to: "Create Suspected Child Abuse Report".
In order to create the Suspected Child Abuse Report(SCAR) using this Web site, the Referral Number that was issued to you must be activated by the Child Protection Hotline.
Please allow up to two hours after the phone call for your Referral Number to become activated.
Your login is valid for four hours. Please complete the SCAR report within the specified login period to avoid the loss of data.

The SCAR reports generated through this Web site can be downloaded and printed if you have the free "Adobe Acrobat Reader Plug-In" installed on your computer. If you don't have the Acrobat Reader installed, click on the "Get Acrobat Reader" icon above, and you will be taken to Adobe's Web site. Follow the directions given for downloading and installing on your computer. Once this is done, you will be able to create and print the SCAR reports on your printer. |
